Weathericks and Bradstone

Jean Hurdle has beautifully restored her traditional stone barns at Windmill Farm in Wirksworth to create two five-star gold cottages. Architectural features of the old barn have been left in place and add fantastic character, along with antique furnishings, charming farming memorabilia, local art and lovely china from the Staffordshire potteries. The gardens and farmland around the cottages are teaming with birds and wildlife and Jean clearly has a deep knowledge and passion in this area. She works closely with Chris Johnstone of Peak Nature, who has established two wildlife photography hides on the farm. She is also working with Joanna Faulkner, friend and local tourism consultant, to further develop her website and her eco-tourism offer, incorporating wildlife experiences for guests.
